Proactive Circles are a powerful Tier 1 tool to build empathy and relationships, while giving equal opportunity for all to listen, contribute, and practice social and emotional skills. This training is designed for classroom teachers or other school staff with the opportunity to facilitate full-class discussions. Circles can result in reduced office discipline referrals, suspensions, and expulsions, along with increased classroom management, instructional time, teacher morale and retention, and academic outcomes. Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to: Understand the premise of Restorative Practices work. Facilitate proactive circles in the classroom community. Utilize strategies of restorative practices to build classroom conversation and community.
