Training is from 8:30-3:30 MT on Jan 17 and 8:30-12:00 MT on Jan 18. Support for Stduents Exposed to Trauma (SSET), an adaptation of CBITS (Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools), is designed to help schools and school systems that do not have access to school-based clinicians. Designed with and for teachers and nonclinical school counselors, this program targets students in 5th grade and above. SSET uses a lesson-plan format instead of a clinical manual.

SSET is delivered by school staff with the support of a local clinician who helps troubleshoot and make referrals as needed. SSET consists of 10 student-group meetings and periodic communication with parents to keep them informed about progress in the program.

Lunch will be provided during the full-day session on January 9th.

This program is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of an award totaling $2,500,000 with 0% financed with nongovernmental sources.
