DESCRIPTION:Register for the Trauma Sensitive Schools Trainer Cohort. \nThe Trauma Sensitive Schools professional learning curriculum is a composition of five modules related to trauma; how trauma manifests in the classroom; the neurobiology of trauma and resilience; effective strategies to assist students experiencing the effects of trauma; understanding secondary effects of trauma; and creating a trauma-informed school culture. By becoming a trainer of this curriculum\, educators can assist their schools in ensuring all educators have an opportunity to understand trauma and how to support students and families exposed to trauma. \nObjectives: \n\nDeliver TSS curriculum with confidence\,\nUnderstand how to access the ND Trainers Network\,\nAccess trauma related resources\,\nPromote the TSS curriculum.\n\nRequirements to become a TSS trainer include: \n\nParticipation in the Trauma Sensitive Schools professional learning series June 24-28 with completion of accompanying Notes Catcher\,\nCompletion of Independent Study Log\, diving deep into the structure of the professional learning curriculum\,\nParticipation in a cohort resource review August 5th\,\nCompletion of a teach-back session to gain positive feedback from peers on content delivery.\n\nTrauma Sensitive Schools was created and disseminated in partnership with Nexus-PATH\, the Central Region Education Association\, and the Department of Public Instruction.
