This training will aid school staff in learning the warning signs of those in crisis\, how to offer hope to those in crisis\, and how to get help & save a life. \nObjectives: Upon completion of QPR Training\, participants will: \n\nUnderstand suicide as a national and local public health problem\, and\nIdentify warning signs\, risk factors\, and protective factors contributing to suicidal ideation.\n\nAudience: Any educator looking to learn more about how to prevent suicide. \nA minimum of 10 Participants are needed for this training to occur. If training must be cancelled due to low registration numbers\, registered Participants will be notified a week prior.

DESCRIPTION:The QPR training program focuses on suicide prevention and provides helpful mental health resources. \nAddressing the wellness needs of those working in agriculture or related areas will be the focus of the upcoming Question\, Persuade\, Refer suicide prevention webinars sponsored by North Dakota State University Extension. Three sessions are scheduled: November 20th from 1:00-2:30 p.m.\, January 21st from 11:00 am-12:30 pm and February 23rd from 1:00-2:30 p.m. \nThe 90-minute webinars will address concerns of high stress levels in agriculture-related jobs and the effect on well-being. \nRegistration is limited to the first 30 participants per webinar. This training will aid school staff in learning the warning signs of those in crisis\, how to offer hope to those in crisis\, and how to get help & save a life. \nObjectives: Upon completion of QPR Training\, participants will: \n\nUnderstand suicide as a national and local public health problem\, and\nIdentify warning signs\, risk factors\, and protective factors contributing to suicidal ideation.\n\nAudience: Any educator looking to learn more about how to prevent suicide. \nA minimum of 10 Participants are needed for this training to occur. If training must be cancelled due to low registration numbers\, registered Participants will be notified a week prior.
