DESCRIPTION:Registration coming soon! \nNon-Clinical Bounce Back is a group intervention designed for K-5 students that is aimed at supporting students who have been exposed to a traumatic event\, teaching coping skills through a series of group sessions. This training is most often used by school mental health professionals\, such a school counselors\, school social workers\, and school psychologists. No clinical experience is required\, and all training participants will receive the necessary knowledge and skills to facilitate non-clinical Bounce Back training in their school space\, including access to the facilitation manual. \nLunch will be provided. \nThis program is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of an award totaling $2\,500\,000 with 0% financed with nongovernmental sources. DESCRIPTION:Click here to register. \nQuestion\, Persuade\, Refer (QPR) gatekeeper training is an evidence-based suicide prevention strategy that occurs when a trusted adult intervenes with an individual on the brink of crisis. This training will aid school staff in learning the warning signs of those in crisis\, how to offer hope to those in crisis\, and how to get help & save a life. \nObjectives: At the completion of the QPR training\, participants will: \n1.    Understand suicide as a national and local public health problem\, \n2.    Identify warning signs\, risk factors\, and protective factors contributing to suicidal ideation. \n3.     Understand and be able to utilize techniques for crisis intervention using the Question\, Persuade\, Refer model. \nEmail bhero.crea@k12.nd.us with any questions!
