SUMMARY:Evidence-Based Practice: Check In/Check Out
DESCRIPTION:Check-in/Check-out (CICO) is a Tier 2 behavioral intervention designed to support students who need additional structure\, accountability\, and adult feedback throughout the school day to improve positive behaviors. It involves daily check-ins with a mentor\, regular monitoring of behavior goals\, and consistent feedback from teachers. These sessions focused on CICO will support implementation of the intervention at either a school-wide or more individualized level for classroom educators. \nThe “Check In\, Check Out Intervention” has TWO Sessions\, each from 3:00-4:00pm \n\nApril 9th: Overview\nApril 15th & 21st: Planning & Development (please pick at least ONE date)

DESCRIPTION:The National Association for School Psychologists’s PREPaRE curriculum provides relevant school personnel with comprehensive training on how to establish and serve on school safety and crisis response teams. The workshops integrate the roles of existing school staff and community providers related to five crisis preparedness mission areas (prevention\, protection\, mitigation\, response\, and recovery) and ground them in ongoing school safety efforts. \nPREPaRE Workshop 2: Crisis Prevention and Recovery – The Roles of School-Based Mental Health Professional for school mental health professionals (school psychologists\,\, school counselors\, school social workers).
